THE CHURCH'S STATEMENT OF FAITH

These things are most surely believed among us.

  1. That the Bible is the Word of God. The sixty-six books contained in the Old and New Testaments are given by inspiration of God, and are inerrant throughout. We therefore uphold the Supernatural and absolute authority of the Holy Scriptures in all matters.

  1. The Trinity of the Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Ghost. That they are Three distinct Persons but not divided. The One Sovereign, Eternal, Thrice Holy God.

  1. The creation, out of nothing, of the heaven and the earth by the Word of the Almighty, and that the description in Genesis chapters one and two is an accurate, historical account given by Divine revelation.

  1. The reality and personality of Satan. His ongoing opposition towards God, and his final destruction.

  1. The historical fall of man and his consequent death by sin.

  1. The full Deity and perfect humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His God-wrought miraculous virgin birth, His holy, sinless life, His atoning death, His physical resurrection and bodily ascension into heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of God.

  1. The particular redemption of the elect. That the work of Christ was an absolute and efficacious satisfaction to God, both perceptive and penal, for all whom it was made; that all such will be effectually called and justified, will persevere to the end and be eternally secure. This effectual calling is by means of Gods Word and Spirit.

  1. The necessity of repentance from sin and faith towards God.

  1. The necessity of good works and holy living in those professing faith in Christ. Such works are not meritorious towards salvation but are rather the evidence of genuine faith.

  1. The day of Judgement.
